Certified Health Coach, IBNFC

My Story:

For too many years, I struggled with body image, anxiety, and out of control stress. When that stress ballooned into chronic joint pain and tension headaches, I finally decided enough was enough. I tackled my perfectionism, quit dieting, and began focusing on my mental health. My life was vastly improving, but I was still slowly and steadily gaining weight, about five pounds a year. I felt so frustrated. I was trying to take care of myself in all the right ways, but something was still clearly off. I felt so frustrated and hopeless!

Finding Disruptive Nutrition was the missing piece in my puzzle. I learned how to keep my blood sugar balanced and embrace nutrition as a way to care for myself instead of as a punishment for weight gained. Beyond that, I saw how certain mindsets (that I didn’t even realize I had!) were creating problems in so many other areas of my life. I learned an approach to real self-care that I could actually do for the rest of my life. I love myself! And now I show it with my actions! After my experience, all I wanted to do was to share this lifestyle with other women. Coaching is quite literally my dream job! I love connecting with clients, sharing in their joys and successes, and guiding them to the confidence and empowerment that comes with this lifestyle. Real peace and freedom around food is completely possible and I feel so lucky to be part of my clients’ transformations.

Why I am passionate about helping others:
You are an amazing human being and deserve to know your value, feel safe and confident around food, and to love and take care of yourself. I want to give you the gift of peace and freedom that was given to me through Disruptive Nutrition.

My favorite nutrition tip:

Get colorful! Let your meals celebrate the wonderful colors, textures, and flavors of fresh fruits and veggies.

My favorite mindset tip:

Don’t let stress choose your meals! Breathe slowly and calm yourself down before reaching for your comfort foods. See if you can name your feelings and acknowledge them. A calm brain is much better at intentional choices.

My favorite sustainability tip:

Everyone gets in a dinner rut sometimes! Don’t let that feeling of “I don’t know what to make for dinner this week” derail you. Even if you weren’t being intentional about your nutrition, you would probably still feel that way from time to time. Instead, dive into our recipe collection and try something new to shake things up!
