Katie Madlom(Weigand)

Certified Health and Nutrition Coach - PFC3

My Story:
I was a dancer and active person most of my life. But I was always considered overweight.  My rackets and mindset were always around my looks and not me as a whole. I got married, I had a kid and gained weight. Joined weight watchers and lost a total of 100 lbs.  Did a half marathon in 2009 and felt great.

Till I got divorced.  Went through rough patches with being a single parent and my self esteem was not as great as it once was.  Met an narcissistic man and dated him for 4 years.  Lots of hardships led me to even more self esteem and self worth issues.

I gained all of the weight back.  I tried Keto, Octivia, intermittent fasting… lots of restrictive diets. Lots of hardcore workouts and long.

Then one day I saw Carries program on Instagram and something seemed to click.  I went to a webinar and cried.  For the first time I felt something click.  Every class I took made more sense and made me feel more free in how I could live my life.

My mindset was my biggest and most important change in my health.  My body image no longer has a hold over me on how I feel about myself.  My confidence is back and when I do get into a low I have tools to help me get out almost as fast as I got in it.

Why I am passionate about helping others:
I know that there are women out there, like me who have felt low, who has tried almost everything, who feels their worth are tied to their weight and the size of their clothes.

I want women to love themselves as they are now, even while changing their health story. Because we nurture what we love. SO by loving yourself you will fuel and nurture you body, mind and soul.

My favorite nutrition tip:
Prepare your day with intentions and purpose. So when you find yourself in moments where you maybe gone longer or have surprise food provide at a lunch on or an invite to something you have are better prepared for any unforeseen possibilities.

My favorite mindset tip:
SNAP
Stop what you are doing and thinking.
Notice what you are feeling
Ask the questions
Pivot your mindset

My favorite sustainability tip:
Know that there is no good or bad foods.

But Serve your body more than soul. When it is a moment to serve your soul, enjoy, with no guilt and then move back to body filling foods at the next meal.
